Diptyque is a French perfume house famous around the world for its signature candles and exceptional fragrances.
Drawn together by a shared creative vision, friends Christiane Gautrot, Desmond Knox-Leet and Yves Coueslant opened the first Diptyque store in Paris on 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain in 1961. Initially displaying their own interior designs and collections from their travels, the trio celebrated the boutique’s second anniversary with the release of three scented candles to complement their fabrics. In 1968, they launched their first perfume, L’Eau, sparking a more than 40-year-old fragrance legacy.
Synonymous with style, Diptyque has formed its own unique space in the world of personal and home fragrance with a highly-coveted collection of candles, perfumes, body and skincare products, all paying tribute to nature. Using only rare and precious raw materials in fragrances and a blend of first-class waxes in candles, the brand remains uncompromising in its quest for the very best of olfactory experiences.
